Well, it's another Friday night. Got off work semi-early. Too tired to skate so here I am...
I look around my room for some inspiration on what to write about. I look up at the ceiling then slightly down. Hats. I see four of my hats scattered throughout my room. Bingo...
I love hats. Totally functional and cool to wear. I love wearing a hat. I wear one every day for work then come home and wear one to go out and skate as well. Hats help keep the sun out of your eyes on bright sunny days and keeps the hair out of your eyes, depending on the length of your hair. If you have a shaved head, it will keep your scalp from getting too much sun.
I never wore hats as a child, but some how got into them in my teens.
I remember in high school my friend Adam had an "A hat." After my friends and I saw him wearing one we all had to get one. These "A hats" were fitted new era Atlanta Braves hats. I picked one out somewhere, I forgot, but it was all black, solid black hat with a solid black 'A.' They came with that gold sticker on the bill. These fitted hats all had flat bills. I guess that was in at the time, still is I think.
My favorite hat is my Anti Hero hat. It is my favorite because it is totally bad ass. Anti Hero is bad ass in general and so is this hat. Although it is the third oldest hat I have in my current collection, I believe it is the most worn. The thing I really love about it is how tall it is and how it stands out. It is made for a person with a big head. This is a flat bill hat, but is an adjustable snap back. It has a simple design. The front is black and says 'Anti Hero Skateboards' in yellow letters. It is a trucker/mesh hat in the back and that part is yellow as well. The bill is big and blocks a lot of sunlight from getting into my vision. I still like to wear it every now and then.
My Route 44 hat is the oldest hat in my current collection. My good friend Sergio gave it to me a few years back. It is simple: black and white with grey writing. Very basic.
My newest hat is my Budweiser hat. I got it on sale at Target. It felt amazing when I put it on so I just had to get it. It is the cheapest hat I have ever bought, less than $10. Also the second non-skateboarding related hat I have bought (I bought a San Francisco hat when I visited San Francisco.)
My newest skateboarding hat purchase is my Our Life hat. I like it, but it fits a little weird. Not the highest quality, but is still tight.
I could keep writing but I will leave this at that. I like hats.
The end.
